Our Logo Design Process

We are often asked how we go about designing a logo for a client. Well, there is no one way that works fro every project, but in general this is the process we follow.


1. Client meeting or call.

We like to get to know you & your business. to design an effective logo, one that will help establish your brand, we need to find out;

what it is you do,

how you do it,

the core values of you and your business,

who your target market is,

where you operate,

what are your goals


2. Research.

We go away & look at your market, your competitors & any other areas that may influence your business.


3. We brainstorm,

This is the fun, creative part where we sketch out dozens of ideas, some crazy, some we know wouldn't work & some we know have potential. We then take a step back before looking at all the concepts again & picking 2 or 3 to define to a more presentable stage.


4. Development.

We take those 2 or 3 concepts & explore them further trying different colours, fonts or adjusting the layout until we have strong designs that fit the brief.


5. Test them.

We apply the logo designs to a range of mockups to see how they work across different touch points. You may need something that works both on a website & 12 meters high on the side of a building. If they don't work, we go back & refine before we try again.


6. Present

Its only now that the client see's the proposed designs. We are confident that one of the concepts we present will resonate with you, & that is a completely personal element. We apply all the expertise to technically get you a logo that works, but only you know the one that feels 'You'
